With a police blockade outside their rented home, a couple suspected of killing a finance and accounting chief in Surin each took a gunshot wound to the head.
Supawadee Kerdthongkham and her husband, Pol Snr Sgt Maj Ratthakarn Kerfthongkham, were suspected of killing their 46-year-old co-worker Atchareeya Homkhajorn after the her body was found buried behind their home three days after she disappeared on August 2.
The couple also allegedly stole over one million baht in cash, which may have been a motive for the murder.
Nong Phai police found the pair holed up in a room in a rented house and sealed it off at 6pm Monday, calling for them to give themselves up. Within moments, police heard two gunshots and found the couple lying on the floor with wounds to their heads, according to The Bangkok Post.
