Citing the need to accommodate increased traffic, the Airports of Thailand have announced that they will embark on a THB10 million renovation of Don Muang International Airport.
The renovation will include improvements to the airport’s automatic walkways, parking areas and (most importantly) toilets. Terminal Two will be remade as well, as will the airport’s taxiways.
The Bangkok Post reports that these improvements are being undertaken in anticipation of two new airlines’ arrival at Don Muang. If proposals by Indonesia’s Lion Air and Air Asia X are approved, both will soon be servicing Bangkok via Don Muang Airport.
