For that pitch, a Krabi diving company will face prosecution for advertisements showing its staff mugging with threatened marine species and wearing what could best be described as a “shit-eating” grin.
“We have investigated the information and identified the perpetrators, including the person who picked up the marine life to show off to tourists, and the tour company,” Kankasem Meesuk, director of Lanta National Park, said in a Khaosod English report.
Kankasem said he would file a complaint the company violated laws regulating national parks, which can be punished with a five-year jail term and THB20,000 fine.
The images were posted to Lanta Adventure Trips’ Facebook page, which since appears to have been made unavailable.
