Distracted by phone game, worker crushed by truck

Playing games when you should be working is irresponsible, immoral, shameful behavior.

Wait. Wait … hang on … just gotta milk these virtual cows. Okay … done. Back to the news.

A 19-year-old Burmese worker was crushed to death yesterday at an ice factory in Sara Buri province because he was distracted by a game on his telephone.

Police say a man identified as “Sodtu” died because he failed to notice a truck backing into the warehouse he was standing in with other friends, all playing games on their phones.

Although his colleagues moved out of the way, they said Sodtu was too engrossed in the game to respond in time. The truck crushed his head and lower torso, killing him almost instantly.

The truck’s driver, another Burmese worker identified as “Ye,” panicked and fled the scene, Khaosod reported.
