A disgraced former police officer kidnapped and murdered Supawadee Sukjaras who had filed a rape charge against him before killing himself after a high speed chase with the police.
The Criminal Court found Somboon Nooraksa, who was a sergeant at the time, guilty of rape and he was dishonourably discharged from the police. He lost his subsequent appeal and the case was being assessed by the Supreme Court when he kidnapped Supawadee.
Somboon allegedly tried to negotiate with Supawadee to drop the charge, but she refused.
The high speed chase came to a tragic end when Somboon knocked over and killed a 14-year-old boy who was riding his motorcycle. Somboon then shot Supawadee in the head and chest before turning the gun on himself, reported Khaosod.
