If “Dali” is the only thing that comes to mind when think of surrealism, then your brain’s weird-centers need further education.
A good place to start is Friday evening at “From Ecstasy to Rapture,” where 10 Spanish experimental films from the Modern to contemporary will be presented by our friends at Le Cool Bangkok along with the cinephiles of The Friese-Greene Club.
“The screening will show a part of the rich and remarkable history of Spanish experimental filmmaking, spotlighting the treasures of a number of alternative film makers that are not only little known internationally, but also not well known within Spain’s own borders,” read the release.
Heavy stuff, but any journey that starts at ecstasy and ends at rapture has got our attention.
