The date has finally been confirmed for Thai PM Prayuth Chan-ocha’s highly-anticipated meeting with Donald Trump. The two will get together at the White House on Oct. 3 to discuss security, investments, and strategies regarding the tense feelings between the U.S. and North Korea.
More specifically, it’s been said that they will tackle how Thai companies can invest in the U.S. and how Thailand might be able to play a role in the relationship between the U.S. leader and officials in Pyongyang, including the country’s nuclear weapons program, reported Bangkok Post.
Today, in preparation of the meeting next week, U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, will meet Prayuth to discuss details of the trip, meeting, and talking points.
When issuing his own official statement about the meeting, Trump wrote that Thailand is a “key partner and longstanding ally” to the U.S.
