The mother of 14-year-old twin girls sought help from the police after she found out they had been routinely raped and molested by their biological father for over a year.
Prakaiduan, 39, filed a police report against ex-husband Suriya yesterday after she learned he had been raping one of their twin girls since March, 2013, at their home in Trang province.
We’re not publishing their full names as the allegations involve the abuse of minors.
The mother added that attempts by Suriya, 36, to rape one of the twins failed as the girl was able to fight him off.
Prakaiduan, who works as a fruit seller, said they had all lived together as a family until their daughters were 6, and Suriya went away to serve an eight-year jail sentence for attempted murder.
After he was released in 2012, Suriya moved back into their home where the teen girls were left alone with their father on Fridays and Saturdays while their mother went to work.
Prakaiduan then separated from her husband. When they tried to reconcile, her daughters objected and reportedly told their mother the truth.
Suriya denied the accusation and claims his ex-wife made up the terrible accusations out of jealousy because he started seeing another woman.
The girls will be sent for a physical examination. The result is expected in one month, Manager reported.
