UPDATE: The bike park has delayed its opening to May 9.
A new playground for cyclists opens tomorrow in Bangkok’s Bang Kapi district.
At the Peppermint Bike Park, riders can pedal along two linked circuits – a paved urban path and elevated wooden course – day and night.
The park opens at 7am and will be well-lit to stay open until 10pm.
Behind the park and its name are the fine people of Bertram Chemical, maker of all those Peppermint Field yaa dom inhalers plugged into our nostrils.
Annual membership to the park is available for THB200, after which members can cycle during daylight hours for THB100 and THB150 after 6pm. Non-members pay THB150 for day rides and THB200 for use at night.
Peppermint Bike Park is located near the Ramintra Expressway near the Crystal Design Center.
