Chonburi’s Khao Kheow Open Zoo introduced two new red pandas yesterday to stroke Thailand’s panda obsession.
The 5-year-old Kurumi and 2-year-old Nana were imported from Japan under the exchange program between Khao Kheow and Ishihara zoos as they’re now available to the public to visit
It is not disclosed what Thailand has gifted Japan for them to send these adorable furry bastards.
Although animals in captivity, particularly zoos in Thailand, generally suffer poor conditions, Chonburi’s “open zoo” is considered less awful than others.
Three weeks prior to the red panda introduction, Khao Kheow Zoo also showed off a new baby zebra, which was born in captivity at the zoo.
