A woman dumped her miscarried fetus at a temple outside Bangkok after a monk refused to perform black magic on it.
Rescue volunteers and Samut Sakhon police were called to collect a trash bag containing a fetus from the cemetery at Wat Poh Jae yesterday after an unidentified couple left it there.
According to Phra Pok, the temple’s monk, a couple came to see him Tuesday night to make merit and then demanded he call the spirit of the recently miscarried child to possess a small figuring known as a kumarn tong.
Phra Pok freaked out and said he didn’t know black magic. He advised couple to notify the police about the baby’s death, and they left.
The next morning, he found they’d just dumped the bag at the temple.
Police will track down the couple, according to a report on Rescue Volunteer Thailand.
