Corpse-powered love potions lead police to suspected necromancer

Everyone knows a potent love potion cannot work without boiled, human bits mixed in.

At least that’s what a suspected master necromancer in Chiang Mai was advertising on Facebook until 50 police officers stormed his compound this morning.

According investigators, the since-deleted Facebook page showed photos showing a boiled penis, vagina and uterus being used in the process of making a love potion, leading police to suspect Narai the Hermit was involved in a recently discovered necromancy ring.

Ruu si Narai, actually Inncome Panyaruang, 59, welcomed the officers who showed up with a search warrant. Police found several magical amulets, look grog (baby spirit-possessed sculptures) to male and female clay voodoo dolls. No human body parts were found however.

Look grog is traditionally a dead fetus, believed to bring luck to the worshiper. These are only soulless sculptures of babies.

Police believe the hermit had been tipped off about the raid and stashed the body parts.

Inncome told the police he had been a monk for 23 years and studied black magic before deciding to become a master sorcerer. He told police that he fashions amulets for those who come seeking his power, especially Chinese and Singaporean tourists.

He denied trading or using human body parts in his eldritch rites.

Despite finding no evidence, police detained the hermit for further questioning, Khaosod reported.
