Four suspects have been arrested for attempting to traffic THB500 million of heroin through Suvarnabhumi Airport yesterday. Officials stated that if the load had been left the country it’s estimated value would increase to THB10 billion.
After receiving a tip-off, police raided a Bang Na hotel room where they found a Thai man who confessed that he had been hired for THB1 million to traffic and hide 237kg of heroin to Taiwan in six luggage containers. Police then rushed to the airport to arrest 3 Taiwanese men who were set to collect the haul and board a 12:30pm Hong Kong flight, reports Bangkok Post.
