Yesterday, police in Bangkok’s Din Daeng district arrested a US citizen who is suspected of having dealt drugs in Florida.
The man, 32-year-old Ryan Steven Miller, originally dealt ecstasy in his home country, before going to work for a Vietnamese narcotics smuggling ring. While in the employ of these Vietnamese smugglers, Miller earned as much as USD600,000 a week for moving heroin into the United States.
Miller fled into Thailand last October, where he hid out from law enforcement (and from his ex-employers, apparently) until this arrest.
The Nation reports that Miller was originally charged with having overstayed his visa.
