Convict-turned-celeb ‘Keng Camouflage’ arrested over old drugs case

Internet idol and ex-convict “Keng Camouflage” was arrested at his home in the Bangkok outskirts this morning over smuggling Yaba into prison while he was serving time for attempted murder and robbery.

Panya Yimumphai, who goes by the name “Keng Laiprang” or “Keng Camouflage” in English, has been charged with drug possession and smuggling drugs into prison – an offence that took place in 2008 while he was serving an eight-year sentence.

Keng Camouflage has been a changed man since his release from prison in 2011, Daily News reported.

Now 33, his life consists of working as an extra for movie sets and, not to mention, an internet celebrity. Of course, he also does promotions for “Magnus,” a brand of male enhancement pills on his Facebook page, which has over half a million followers.

Because who would be a better spokesman for manhood?

Keng is also a DJ and is occasionally hired for appearances at nightclubs. He married his girlfriend last month and had a lovely superhero-themed wedding.

Keng hopes he will be released on bail. After all, he has come a long, long way.
