Lat Phrao, a large residential area infamous for its hellish traffic, will finally be accessible via MRT. Officials are coming in tomorrow to move the utility lines and prepare for the construction of the Yellow Line trains.

Starting tomorrow, officials will close off the right lane of the inbound Lat Phrao Road, between Soi 136 to 128 and Soi 45/1 to 23 around the clock, leaving only two lanes in use.

Between 10pm to 4am, they will additionally close the right lane on the outbound side.

The closure is effective tomorrow until further notice.

The Yellow Line, which is scheduled to open in 2021, will begin at the Ratchada-Lat Phrao Intersection and transfer with the Blue Line at Lat Phrao station.

The Yellow Line will consist of two elevated monorail tracks. It will stretch 30.4 kilometers from Lat Phrao to Samrong and have 23 stations. It will connect with four train lines including the Green Line at Samrong station and the Airport Rail Link at Pattanakarn station.
