Floods were no obstacle to the most important day in a southern Thai couple’s life.
Down in Narathiwat province, where 11 districts have been flooded by heavy rainfall, a couple decided not to let the weather dampen the festivities and carried on ankle-deep Sunday with their wedding.
“They were ready to walk through the floodwater and paddle boats to greet guests, cousins and friends that they invited,” their wedding photographer wrote, sharing photos online from the splashy wedding.
“Even though this was the couple’s ultimate test, they were ready to hold hands and get through the day together,” Meen the photographer added.
More than 16,000 households and 30,500 residents have been affected by the monsoon-driven flooding, the government announced yesterday, with many residents under evacuation orders. No injuries or deaths have been reported.
Flood conditions persisted Tuesday.
