You know society has a lot to answer for when the no.1 most read story on Coconuts, by far, is about a man having sex with a Porsche car. Yep. Or maybe it just means this kind of news rarely get reported (well, it’s rare to find someone sexually assaulting a car in public) and so this idiot got enough attention to get to the top of our list.
2) Foul Play: Leicester City footballers engage in racist orgy in Bangkok (video)
Lo and behold, the runner-up on our list is also a sex-related one, but with the added bonus of racist and bigoted elements. We reported on the leaked video of three Leicester City English footballers, in which they were filmed participating in a racist and shocking orgy with Thai women in Bangkok.
And it turns out the racist orgy ended their football career after Leicester City sacked the three players seen in the video three weeks later.
3) Hong Kong girl bungee-jumps naked in Chiang Mai (VIDEO)
You guys really enjoy reading sexy news, don’t you? The next one on the list is about a Hong Kong girl who bungee-jumped naked in Chiang Mai. The video of this sexy scene went viral as the police said they would track her down and ask her not to show her nudes to anyone for the sake of Chiang Mai’s reputation.
4) Bangkok bombing: ‘Backpack man’ officially confirmed as suspect (VIDEO)
The horrific shrine bombing was named one of the worst attacks in Thailand’s history. Following the tragic event, police identified the man who was seen wearing a backpack and yellow T-shirt on security camera as the official suspect. They then launched a massive manhunt and claimed to have arrested the man in question.
5) Controversial hand-holding Thai-German gay couple now happily married
This Thai-German couple became the talk of the town when a photo of them holding hands on the BTS back in April was uploaded on the internet, with many clearly jealous trolls slamming the Thai guy for punching above his weight. The couple made headlines again when they got married in November, defying the angry commentators.
6) All the cool kids are worshipping haunted dolls now
Moving on to a spookier story, this story about the recent superstitious trend of worshipping baby dolls became widespread all over the Kingdom. These so-called Look Thep dolls, with each doll possessing the spirit of a child, are believed by some to bring prosperity and harmony into their lives. That’s not creepy at all.
7) Naked fitness stirs hardened members (VIDEO)
A gym gave us another reason to go work out when a video leaked of a group of naked women cavorting with male gym members. The clip led to commentators crying out to the authorities to investigate the gym.
8) American girl wrecks 13 vehicles in Pattaya (VIDEO)
This summer an ordinary American tourist made headlines due to her spectacularly bad driving. It all started when she drove in the wrong way down in East Pattaya where she crashed into a motorbike. Instead of stopping, she continued to drive crazily, starting a good old-fashioned cop car chase, and went on to crash into another 12 vehicles, including a freakin’ bus. Good job.
9) Taxi driver goes Tony Jaa on road opponent
Another popular driving story was about the Bangkok taxi driver who did a “Tony Jaa” stunt on another driver after a heated argument. The taxi driver was actually driving the wrong way and a photo of him doing his Muay Thai kick went viral when another driver, who claimed to be the victim of his mad skills, posted it on his Facebook page.
10) Everyone talks about Mario’s pink nipples today
Last but not least, the list ends with none other than the country’s national heartthrob Mario Maurer. This is not just ordinary gossip, but is specifically about the star’s pink nipples that got netizens going wild. Stay with us here. The half-naked photo of Mario, taken when he was recruited by the military, leaked onto the net and grabbed everyone’s attention for how er, pink and perfect his nipples were. Yeah, we need to get laid more.
