Nearly 16 years ago, Wang Tung Xiu fled China after he was accused of shooting a man to death.
Yesterday, he was taken into custody on Silom Road, in front of the restaurant he’s owned for some years. Before that, he was a waiter.
Xiu fired a weapon which Chinese authorities say killed someone back in 1998, according to the warrant for his arrest.
He’d fled China across the Mekong River into Chiang Rai and has been in Thailand since that time, Bangkok Post reported.
