A brief moment of drama emerged on the stage of Miss Grand International yesterday as the contestants gave a “WTF” look when it was announced our Miss Thailand did not win the beauty contest and only took home the third prize.
This hilarious video was shared all over social networks among Thais, who had high hopes for Supaporn “Fai” Malisorn, 22, to win the international pageant contest, which was held in Las Vegas yesterday.
The crown went to Miss Indonesia, Ariska Putri Pertiwi, instead while Miss Philippines, Nicole Ignacio Cordoves, took second place.
Supaporn certainly looked stunning in her blue evening gown, but it all went downhill when she was asked the ultimate question in the final round “Who would you choose to help you stop the world’s war and violence: Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton?”
Supaporn said: “Of course, if I can choose one, for sure, I would choose Madam Clinton because she’s a lady, same as me. And also I can work with her and she’s so kind and friendly, and most important, she’s my inspiration, and also…I love her. Kob Khun Ka!”
As a pageant fan once said, this is a beauty contest, not Miss English Speaker or Miss Politics contest. Way to go, Supaporn…?
