A new park designed for human and canine recreation opened today in western Bangkok.
Located on Soi Phetkasem 69, the Bang Khae Phirom Park’s 119 rai (19 hectares) of land includes exercise and recreation facilities, a jogging track, bicycle lane, exercise spaces and workout equipment in addition to an area set aside for the frolicking of dogs, according to City Hall.
The dog section includes a 300-meter dog path and stations for them to drink water.
An additional area is under construction that will include a flea market expected to open in March.
The park is open 5am to 9pm daily. Access it via Soi Ban Khlong Khwang (see map below).
