A 32-year-old man was arrested after helping his 13-year-old lover run away from home to live with him in Bangkok.
Arun Abdullah was recently arrested at his home on Lat Phrao Soi 87 for child abduction after teen girlfriend ran away from home to live with him two months ago.
Arun admitted to meeting girl, whose name was withheld, at a temple in the girl’s home province of Nakhon Pathom.
Arun worked at the temple at the time, and the two became involved online via Facebook, where their love blossomed, Channel 7 reported.
In the report, the girl told her parents she had a nice relationship with the man after being reunited with them.
Fortunately the moral authorities of the channel Channel 7 news team were there to weigh in with some helpful comments.
Wait two more years before falling in love, the news anchor encourages, as if 15-32 love is free of creepiness or legal issues.
Her male colleague advises “don’t eat the fruit before it’s ripe,” a Thai cliche which obviously has been very good at stopping premarital sex.
