A woman was killed and a man was injured at a bus stop near Saphan Kwai BTS Sunday night when the driver of a Mitsubishi slammed into the bus stop after a failed attempt to change lanes.
The driver of the Mitsubishi Lancer, identified as Nantthawat Luanprajakjang, 35, told the police he was driving in the right lane of Phaholyothin Road when he used his turn signal, indicating that he wanted to switch to the left lane. But, a yellow taxi didn’t give him space, causing him to crash into the taxi then slam into the bus stop on the sidewalk.

His Mitsubishi ran over a woman Napaporn Sripawathakul, 25, who died at the scene. The taxi driver, Prayoon Tantanakchareon, 60, and an unidentified male passerby were also injured and sent to Rajavithi Hospital.
Nattawat was also injured and sent to Paolo Memorial Hospital.
Police will question both parties in order to find out who was really at fault, reported Komchadluek.
