Did the future suddenly feel more secure today?
The (caretaker) government today approved another extension to the Internal Security Act due to ongoing conflict.
The act’s authority was extended another 61 days, through June 30, according to a spokeswoman for the (caretaker) prime minister’s office.
It applies to Bangkok and the surrounding areas, giving security forces more leeway to maintain public order.
Meanwhile fewer police officers will be fielded as the number of protesters has continued to decline, according to spokeswoman Lt. Sunisa Pertpakawat.
