Cabinet gives the seal of approval to a new Bangkok City Plan

Earlier this week, the Cabinet gave approval to a new Bangkok City Plan, the first since the city’s previous plan was given approval in 2006.

The Nation reports that this new plan will allow for further development along mass transit lines. It will also reclassify certain areas of the city that have been erroneously labeled “low density.”

The new plan, slated to take effect on May 15, still has to be vetted by municipal authorities.
