Bus, train stations crowded with locals heading home for holidays (PHOTOS)

Swarms of people have gathered at Mo Chit bus terminal and Hua Lamphong train station to get a ride back to their hometown for the Songkran holidays.

Officials have increased the number of buses to 7,500 to handle the travelers and to ensure no passenger is left behind.

Tickets are still available for sale, according to Nopparat Karunyawanich, deputy director of Transport Co. Ltd.

Hua Lamphong is so crowded that all the waiting benches are occupied as of this morning.

Officials expect more people to travel home tonight, INN reported.
