Bus speeding away from Victory Monument injures grandmother and child

This weekend, a 60-year-old woman and her one-year-old grandson were injured after they fell while disembarking from a bus at Victory Monument.

According to MThai, the driver of the bus on Route 538 No. 11 took off in haste, causing the two victims to stumble onto the road. The driver told the conductor to help carry the woman and her grandson to rest behind the bus stop before speeding off.

Both victims were reportedly taken to a nearby hospital.

This is yet another case that raises questions about the safety of bus passengers. Bus drivers’ haste has resulted in many past casualties.
