Bus No. 147 operators fined for booting ‘smelly’ passenger from bus

The bus driver and conductor of bus No. 147, who kicked a middle-aged man off their bus for his strong body odour on Sunday, were fined and suspended for their rude behavior.

Well, not taking a shower is sort of rude, too.

The driver and conductor, whose identities were not revealed, had to pay THB1,000 each and was suspended from work for seven days since they violated regulations of the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority by expelling a passenger from the vehicle.

Viriyawong, the company who owns the bus, was also slapped with a THB1,000 fine for their inability to control their staff’s behavior.

The incident in question was partially captured in a video clip which went viral on social media this week. In the clip, the driver and conductor can be heard shouting at a passenger to get off the bus.

The two admitted that they were rude to the “smelly” passenger and tried to get him to leave the bus because they could not bear his body odor, Thai PBS reported.
