One of Thailand’s sundry tourist buses
Last week, a bus filled with Chinese tourists caught fire while on its way (in the parlance of the Pattaya Daily News) to a “tourist attraction.”
The bus driver discovered that trouble was afoot when a loud “thunk” emanated from the bus’s mechanical compartment. Fire broke out shortly after he stopped the vehicle to investigate the source of this bizarre sound.
Thanks to the speedy arrival of police and firemen, the tourists were evacuated before any were killed or succumbed to significant injury. Three tourists injured in the fire are reported to be safe.
