BTS offers free rides to cyclists on Bangkok Car Free Day this Sunday

To help cyclists attending the Bangkok Car Free Day at Sanam Luang this Sunday, the BTS Skytain will give free rides to participants.

BTS chief executive Surapong Laoha-anya said the free rides will be offered to people with bicycles at all stations including the Sukhumvit and Silom lines.

Cyclists can get coupons at ticket booths, reported Thai PBS.

The free service will be from 6.00 am – midnight on Sunday.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration organises the Bangkok Car Free Day jointly with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, Thai Cycling for Health Association, Department of Pollution Control, Thailand Environmental Institute, and cycling groups in Bangkok and adjacent provinces.

Car Free Day is held worldwide on September 22.
