BREAKING: Obama sips fresh and juicy coconut in Laos

As you may or may not know, Barack Obama is currently in Laos, marking the first time a sitting U.S. president has visited the country.

He’s in town for the ASEAN Summit, but another thing he’s doing while there is visiting survivors of the U.S. bombing of the country during the Vietnam War.

On the trip, he’s pledged to clean up the damage his country inflicted on the Southeast Asian nation decades ago and announced that he is earmarking $90 million for land surveying and to remove unexploded ordinances.

He also drank a coconut on the banks of the Mekong in Luang Prabang and visited a Buddhist temple.

It’s been an eventful trip for Obama. On Tuesday, he canceled a meeting with controversial Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte after Duterte launched an expletive-filled rant in which he may or may not have called the leader of the free world a “son of a whore.”

Obama doesn’t let that sort of thing bother him though. Not when there are fat, juicy coconuts to be enjoyed.
