The Thai Navy SEALs have just confirmed that one of the remaining five members of the Wild Boars soccer team has been extricated out of the cave.

The 9th Wild Boar was out of the cave at 4:06 pm. Hooyah!” the SEALs wrote in a Facebook post just a moment ago.

This was the first boy to have been brought out of the cave today since the operation started at 10am.

Earlier today, the provincial governor said that the last four boys and their coach were expected to be safely extricated — ending the dangerous search and rescue mission that started 16 days ago since the team went inside the cave and trapped in a flash flood. That goal just got a little bit closer.
