Thai volleyball ambitions got off to a rough start last night.
The Thai women’s volleyball team was shut out 3-0 by the high-profile Dominican and Brazil teams in their first two matches at the 2013 FIVB Women’s World Grand Champions Cup taking place at Nagoya, Japan.
Last night, the Thai team faced women of the 8th-ranked Dominican Republic. Thailand started off with a lead in all three sets but ended up losing all three sets: 25-23, 25-12 and 25-23.
At 10am today, it was Thailand’s turn to compete with victorious Brazil, fresh from beating the US team in three sets. Brazil showed fine form and won wins of 25-18, 25-16, and 25-17.
In the next match, Thailand will face Japan at 5:10pm on Friday. The game will be broadcast on Channel 7, Siam Sports and Sanook reported.
