Book Expo Thailand’s poster similar to Paris Book Fair’s poster

The design agency behind the Book Expo Thailand 2013 poster has been accused of plagiarising the idea from the Paris Book Fair 2012.

The discovery by netizens comes as a letdown to Thai bookworms who previously praised the agency, Wrongdesign House, for their work.

Both artworks feature a half-pigeon half-book creature on a black background with an accompanying white typeface.

Wrongdesign House admitted today that they did reference the Paris Book Fair 2012 in their design, but they insisted that the Book Expo Thailand committee approved the idea and allowed them to produce all graphic materials using the artwork.
