One country singer steadfastly rejects the notion that there’s such a thing as “too sexy.”
Ong-art “Aerk” Lederer, a Thai-German luk thung country singer, is again basking in the glow of infamy after launching his second supersexy music video this year.
After saying previously that he needed a fast ride to fame, Aerk has already garnered 550,000 views for his new video Sak Dok (loosely translated to ‘I want some’) since it went live Friday.
The video features sexy, dolled-up models in an adaptation of not-so-traditional Thai costumes twerking and flaunting their physical assets to the lyrics, which explain Lederer’s burning desire to discover some sort of key to their hearts.
“Do you have a key to your heart?” he asks in the video. “I want some, some, some, key. You’ve had my heart since we first looked each other in the eyes.” As he sings, the camera can’t help but to frequently return to the models’ cleavage.
Thai netizens in the comments section seem to be divided into two camps: male and female. While women attack the poor creativity of the production, with its plastic girls cheapening sacred traditional costumes and bastardized luk thung, many men express their sincere love for the video. Or just admit they like the boobs.
“I like the boobs, but why cut to the singer’s face? That’s a major turn-off,” argued user sweetz backbogey.
Lederer himself received less enthusiasm from such users.
“I’d better switch to my porn tab,” asserted another user Tumtim Zuzaa. “The singer turns me off!”.
Aerk was obviously not discouraged by the first wave of criticism after the February debut of his his music video Pey or Perfect in English. The video hit 12 million views and featured models dancing in their underwear.
