Bobae vendors appeal BMA’s decision to scale down market

A group of 30 vendors at the Bobae Market submitted a letter yesterday requesting that the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) review its order to prohibit vendors from operating in some parts of the Market.

Vendors claimed that more than 200 merchants would be affected by the BMA’s order, which stipulated a ban on any operation from the first to sixth bridges across the Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem canal.

The BMA released the order last month after receiving many complaints that vendors’ stalls had obstructed footpaths, Manager Online reported.
