Bluesky warns protesters to only blow its official whistles

Protesting to overthrow the elected government is one thing, but violating copyright law to do it? Inconceivable.

A television network affiliated with the opposition Democrat Party wants people to blow their whistles against Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, but only if they’re officially licensed products.

That’s right, Blue Sky Channel, a media platform of the anti-government movement, has said it’s not going to tolerate sales of counterfeit whistles in a message posted to Facebook.

Blue Sky has been selling its own custom whistles shaped like a lightning-bolt for THB999, THB5,000 and a special golden whistle for THB100,000.

Apparently Blue Sky security have already taken whistles from vendors near Pathumwan intersection, and say they’ll instruct guards to do so at all protest sites.

The channel explains further that while protesters are trying to force the government from power, they should not risk harm to the channel’s profitability, Khaosod reported.
