A fire broke out late Friday morning in Bangkok’s Thonglor-Ekkamai area, according to first responders.
Smoke was seen pouring from what looked to be the top floor of The Bangkok Sukhumvit 61 condominium building in Soi Sukhumvit 61 in photos taken from the scene. As of 2pm, rescue workers said they were unsure if there were any injuries.
A Khlong Toei district rescue unit told Coconuts just before noon that the fire had been brought under control, and they were looking for what caused it. At around 2pm, they said it took place on the building’s eighth floor but were still determining the cause.
