A black and white night

A riveting display of humanity will showcase tomorrow night at the W Bangkok for the opening of artist Oat Chaiyasith’s “Everyday Portrait Exhibition.” Over the course of a year Oat captured subjects from diverse social stratifications and cultures with the aim of portraying the essence of each individual in one image.

In an effort to further the normality of this work, Oat photographed 300 subjects using a standard DSLR camera. The stripped-down images are shown only in black and white and produce a striking display for viewers.

Oat is a documentary photographer with emphasis in wedding photojournalism.
