For the birds: British artists share beauty of birds and birdsong on glass

They love birds and they love art. British artists Alison Wilson and Dominic Fondé join together for “Syrinx,” an exhibition devised after they met in Singapore.

Syrinx, a word describing a bird’s vocal apparatus, features images using printmaking techniques and glass engraving to represent Singaporean birds such as the Koel and Kingfisher as well as critically endangered species such as the Bali Starling, not to mention famous songbirds such as the Mockingbird and Nightingale.
