Bird strike damages Air Asia plane flight out of Bangkok

The wing of an Air Asia plane was damaged while on approach to Nakhon Sri Thammarat airport this morning after it collided with an innocent bird just flapping along.

No injuries apart from one dead bird were reported.

After leaving Bangkok for a morning flight to Nakhon Sri Thammarat, passengers on flight FD3188 panicked after the pilot informed them the plane was damaged from a collision with a bird.

The pilot landed the plane without incident, but the damage caused a three-hour delay for the return flight to Bangkok, Thairath and Kapook reported
