Big boxing matches ruined by a little poisoning

Two big Muay Thai matches were canceled after two fighters were reportedly poisoned before the bouts.

Two matches, “Persistent Man” (Seksan A. Kwanmuang) vs. “Superbank” (Rattanabundit U.) and “Petch U-thong” (A. Kwanmuang) vs. “Petch Tavee” (S. Kittichai), were canceled at Ratchadamnoen Stadium yesterday as two of the fighters, both of whom belonged to the same camp were found badly poisoned.

After the weigh-in, “Persistent Man” and “Petch U-thong” showed symptoms of drugging which included frequent urination and weariness.

When both of the fighters went up to the stage to apologize their fans, Petch U-thong fainted while standing.

Sunthorn U-thong, their trainer, said he was very confused because the boxers’ energy drinks were secured under lock, Siam Sport reported.
