Electronic bidding will start Thursday for a new supplier of tablet computers for school children.

Since the start of this academic year, no students have received devices promised under the “One Tablet Per Child” program after a Chinese supplier terminated its contract, The Nation reported.

The program was started under policy initiated by the Pheu Thai-led government after it was restored to power in the 2011 election.
