300M baht in pirated goods seized in raid

A huge trove of pirated goods worth THB300 million was seized from three Bangkok-bound trucks Sunday in Nakhon Ratchasima province.

More than 44,000 counterfeit handbags, shoes and accessories were found in the trucks that were destined for a warehouse in the Ratburana district of Bangkok. The goods were said to be smuggled from Laos and through customs checkpoints in Nong Khai province.

Documents showed the counterfeit goods were illegally imported by CNB International, according to Bangkok Post.

Officers were acting on a tip when they tracked down the three trucks parked on a highway there, according to police Col. Akradej Pimolsri of the Crime Suppression Division.
