Pattaya park Suan Nongnuch welcomed an adorable new resident on Sunday — a bouncing baby boy elephant named Plai Nammon, or Holy Water.

Park workers were waiting for a month for mama Pang Ploy, a 17-year-old elephant, to give birth. The miracle finally happened at 6:30am and was captured in a video clip that was posted on Thai social media.

Plai Nammon is only the fourth elephant born in the Pattaya park in the last four decades. The small gentleman was greeted by monks and enjoyed a blessing ritual by Wat Samakkheebanphot abbot Phra Khru Kasemkittisopon.
The baby daddy is 35-year-old Plai Bird. He and the young Pang have been courting since July of 2015.
Congrats to the new family!
