An upsetting photo of a binturong, or bearcat, hanging dead from a tree was not caused by humans, according to an animal organization.

Voice of Nature said the animal suffocated to death after its neck became stuck in a tree in Khao Yai last week.

Rittichai Kengsungneon of Khao Yai National Park wrote on Facebook that he saw the tragic scene when he started work in the morning. The staff then helped the bear down and found it had been dead for hours.
