Here’s good news for online banking fanatics.
Customers who utilize the internet for bill payment, fund transfers and other transactions will soon be enjoying reduced costs and transaction fees from commercial banks.
According to Bangkok Bank President and Thai Bankers Association Chair Chartsiri Sophonpanich, fees will be waived for customers who use the internet or their smart phones to transfer money between accounts from the same bank even if it is a provincial account. The service will be free for the first five transactions of the month. Every subsequent transaction will only cost THB10, the Bangkok Post reported.
