People who spent their long weekend relaxing in Bangsaen would have noticed that the popular Chonburi beach briefly turned pink yesterday morning.

According to the Institute of Marine Science of Burapha University, who collected the seawater for lab test, the phenomenon was simply caused by natural small organisms, phytoplankton, that live in the water and are harmless to humans, according to FM91 Traffic Pro.

The pink color has reportedly gone as of today, so there go our hopes for Bangsaen to become a world destination just like the pink Elafonisi Beach in Greece.
