Bangkok’s top 3 most polluted roads

Bangkok’s streets are well-known for their grit, grime and groan inducing smells but which roads are the absolute worst? According to a new study, Ratchadaphisek, Romklao and Rama 3 roads are far and away the city’s filthiest.

Apparently those three locations had the highest level of particles smaller than 10 micrometres (PM10), which are above public health safety standards. The highest levels of total suspended particles (TSP) were recorded at areas near Rama 3, Romklao and Somdet Phrachao Taksin roads.

The study was based on analysis from air quality at 50 spots throughout Bangkok from November 2012 to February 2013.

Although the researches also measured noise levels at each of the sites, they found that all roads across the capital are above the safety standard of 70 dB. Wait, what?
