Bangkok’s energy and diversity captured by Korean artist

Here’s another impression of the capital as captured by a foreign artist. (Seriously, there seems to be a lot of these recently.)

Here we go: Immersed in Bangkok’s energetic melting pot and caught up with a diverse group individuals, Korean artist Young Ji Kim portrays the positive spirit, confidence and dynamism of the people she encountered in “Truthful Energy,” a painting and sculpture exhibition.

“We do not find truthful energy and emotional exuberance in ordinary circumstances, but merely in environments filled with genuine love and freedom from social judgments.”

The exhibition opens March 17 at the Chamchuri Art Gallery at Chulalongkorn University.
